Review Policy

I started this blog to discuss stuff my kids already like or have discovered on their own, but I’m not opposed to reviewing new products if my kids dig ‘em. With that said, please keep the following in mind.

1. This site is about kids’ interests. I talk about books, comics, apps, games, and performances that my kids like. Want to send me something to review? That’s great! But please make sure it’s something appropriate for children.

2. My reviews and recommendations are completely subjective, obviously. They’re based solely on whether my kids and I like the relevant product, place, or event. If we don’t like it, then I probably won’t write about it. Our opinions are our own. None of my praise or recommendations were paid for by the people/companies who stand to make money from increased sales or exposure.

3. You may notice that most of my reviews are positive. This is by design. Even if I received a review copy of a book or sample of a toy, if I have more negative opinions than positive, I will probably choose not to write anything. I barely have enough time to keep up with the things we like. I simply don’t have time to write negative reviews.

4. Unfortunately, I have a rather sizeable backlog of items to review, but I still don’t see the need to have more policies about review items. If you have any questions, please feel free to drop me a line at jamie@theroarbots.com.
