For the past few years, I’ve attended Toy Fair in New York and come away with nothing but good things to say about it. However, Toy Fair is a trade-only event, accessible only to industry professionals, corporate buyers, and press. It’s not open to the general public, and kids aren’t allowed. Which is a shame – and superbly ironic, considering it’s a convention center full of toys.

Last year, however, was the first year that Play Fair arrived in the same space to fill the void. Play Fair is “a public celebration of play and entertainment for all ages [that] brings new and beloved toy and pop culture brands together under one roof for an interactive and fun-filled live event open to families, fans, and media.”

This year’s event will be held at the Javits Center in Manhattan on November 4-5 (tickets available nowUse discount code ROARBOTS to save $5 of your tickets!). If you’ll be in the region and have some time, I highly recommend checking it out.

But what is Play Fair? Well, it’s a joint venture between the Toy Association and LeftField Media and presented by Spin Master and Toys R UsThe 2017 show will also be nearly double the size as it was last year, providing even more opportunities to engage with hands-on exhibits and demonstrations, awe-inspiring displays, talent appearances, dozens of toy and entertainment brands, and never-before-seen exclusives.

While at Play Fair NY, meet and take photos with some of your favorite characters, including characters from Paw Patrol, PJ Masks, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Hatchimals, Shopkins, SpongeBob Squarepants, Grossery Gangs, Peppa Pig, Rusty Rivets and many more! Meet and play with players from the NY Knicks, NY Rangers, Harlem Globetrotters, and the NY Liberty.

Engage with the NYC Rockettes, Gross Scientists, Jedi Trainers, Magformer builders, and favorite Children’s authors on the activity stage! Play in the LEGO Brick Pile, race your creations down the LEGO Race Ramp, challenge your friends and family in the NERF Arena. Play in Virtual Reality with Cartoon Network’s Ben 10 and Minecraft, and get glitzed upped at the ALEX glitter makeover station and so much more!!

Watch a Shopkins fashion show, exclusive premieres and screenings, a drone demonstration with Johnny FPV, WWE superstars, and more on the main stage, sponsored by Toys”R”Us and hosted by Greg T from the Elvis Duran Morning Show!

The Roarbots is thrilled to partner with Play Fair this year as an official ambassador. Part of that heavy responsibility is the opportunity to show you some of the hottest toys of the upcoming holiday season.

Take a look at our unboxing below of the massive box o’ toys that arrived here at Roarbots HQ. This is just a tease of most of these toys, I’m aware. So stay tuned to this site over the coming weeks to see more in-depth looks at some of the toys and products we discovered inside…
