ShareTweet 0 Hasbro revealed three new figures in the Kingdom line yesterday: Airrazor, Dinobot, and Ultra Magnus (with some of the most hilariously mistransformed official pics ever, see below), and we’re here to unveil even more new Kingdom toys! “Animorphs Return” Airrazor and “Junk in the Trunk” Ultra Magnus (Image: Hasbro) Fossilizers Starting off the pack is the Fossilizer I’ve been waiting for since I saw the concept leak months ago. Gets angry when you confuse him with a Triceratops (Image: Hasbro) Ractonite is a Styracosaurus skeleton that transforms into bot mode and can be pulled apart (a la Weaponizers) to form armor and weapons for other figures. Because who doesn’t want to have their figures walking around with a giant ceratopsid skull as a shoulder pauldron? What will be interesting is if we see these Fossilizers heavily remolded at some point and released as new Dinobots (not Dinobot; he was revealed yesterday). It’s the one curious omission in all of the fan-service updates that Hasbro has done throughout the War for Cybertron series. G1, But Make it Better Speaking of fan service, Hasbro continues to make G1 dreams come true by filling in the gaps of our original collections with two new figures inspired by the original 80s toys: Inferno and Huffer. Inferno, no disco (Image: Hasbro) Inferno wasn’t a big surprise. With Grapple released in the last War for Cybertron: Earthrise wave, everyone knew it was only a matter of time before he was remolded into the iconic red ladder truck. It’s a pretty light remold, with a new noggin and wings on either side of his head in bot mode. That doesn’t mean it’s any less impressive of a figure. Grapple was an excellent update to the original figure, and Inferno is as well. Keep away from paint fumes. (Image: Hasbro) Huffer is the surprise bot in the mix, however. We haven’t gotten many of the original G1 minibots in War for Cybertron. In fact, Cliffjumper and Warpath are the only ones to appear in the main line (Bumblebee is a Walmart exclusive). Huffer is here in all his orange-and-purple, teeny-truck-cab glory. He’s got a shield the original figure didn’t have (which makes sense since he’s a smaller-than-average Deluxe toy, so that extra plastic for the size class had to go somewhere). What’s neat is that the shield can be flipped over in alt-mode to form a truck bed that does a solid job of completing the mode, making him a utility truck – not just an undersized tractor trailer. G1, But Make it Tiny Finally, I hope you preordered Core Class Optimus Prime, because he’s about to have some teeny-tiny friends! If only his weapon transformed into an even tinier version of himself. (Image: Hasbro) Core Class Megatron and Starscream, each with surprisingly complex articulation for the size class, will be popping up in wave 2 of Kingdom. I especially like that Megatron comes with a weapon that’s essentially his old G1 toy. Fear my tiny authority! (Image: Hasbro) You’d be forgiven for assuming that Hasbro is just grabbing for cash at this point with these miniature versions of characters we’ve already seen three (or even four) times already in War for Cybertron. However, there’s a method to their madness. Who’s that big guy? In the War for Cybertron: Kingdom poster, there’s a new titan-class character looming in the background – none other than the Last Autobot himself, who transforms into the iconic Autobot Ark. These mini Core-Class figures are rumored to be exactly the right scale to interact with the titan-class Ark in all of its modes. All of these figures will be available for preorder on HasbroPulse starting tomorrow, December 3, at 1:00 PM ET. You Might Also Like...
