Ladies and gentlemen, today we are proud to announce the results of the last region of our Round 1 matchups in Roarbots Robot Madness. Eight final robots advance into Round 2 to fight another day. For those curious how we matched all 64 of our contenders up, check out our first post here. And if you missed the first three batches of results, click here, here, and here. “South” Region (1) Mega Man vs (16) Clockwork Smurf On his mission to stop Dr. Wiley, Mega Man had to blast through a plethora of mechanical beings. Unfortunately for Clockwork Smurf, the Mega Buster doesn’t discriminate. (8) Clank vs (9) Vicki Vicki may have superhuman strength and speed, but her worst problem before now was dealing with a nosy neighbor and stilted acting. Clank blasts away the competition. (5) Maeve vs (12) Rosie Vacuum cleaners and witty dialogue are no match against a vengeful robot built for Westworld. (4) Isaac vs (13) Captain Rex A few months ago, this might have been closer. But then we learned of Isaac’s ability to turn his head into a bad-ass weapons system, and all was lost for our poor Star Tours guide. (6) Metalhead vs (11) Mark Zuckerberg He was a close match against the heroes in a halfshell, but what power and evil truly lurk behind Zuck’s dead eyes? Metalhead found out the hard way. (3) Pain Bot vs (14) Conky Sorry, Conky, but today’s secret word is “dismemberment.” Pain bot wins by a mile. (7) Bender vs (10) Twiki An easy battle for Bender… if only he could have stopped laughing at Twiki’s, um, “helmet” long enough to fight. Twiki moves on. (2) Aida vs (15) Charlie the Robot He wasn’t even a match for the gang from Mystery, Inc., so it’s no surprise S.H.I.E.L.D’s nemesis made quick work of this random robot. You Might Also Like...
