I remember when I first saw the trailer for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. I was with my then 11-year-old and, about halfway through the trailer, he looked at me and said “Are they serious? This looks awful.” He wasn’t wrong. It looked bad. Really bad. Movie marketing is a tricky business, though. Maybe the movie would be better than the trailer. When Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom came out… I still couldn’t talk him into going. I couldn’t talk an 11-year-old into seeing a movie about dinosaurs! The trailers discouraged him that much (even though he enjoyed the first movie in the reboot series). Instead, I went with the wife who had not even seen the previous movie. She had seen all the movies in the original series – but had missed the initial Jurassic World. So we decided to have a slightly different type of podcast as well. The wife joins this week as the kid asks us questions about the movie. Mostly we could answer them. But no one really knows why that dinosaur was on the roof… http://traffic.libsyn.com/bodaciouslyawesomefamilyshow/Jurassic_World_FK_Done.mp3Podcast: Play in new window | Download Remember, you can find other movie review episodes of the podcast right here on The Roarbots: Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and Alita: Battle Angel.
