From April through December, Studio Ghibli Fest 2019 presented nine of the studio’s best and most beloved films on the big screen – where they absolutely deserve to be seen. And I hope you have your tissues ready because we’ve arrived at the final film in the series. And it’s beautiful. To round out 2019, Ghibli Fest graces us with Isao Takahata’s final film as director – the soaring and emotional The Tale of the Princess Kaguya. The English cast includes James Caan, John Cho, Darren Criss, Lucy Liu, James Marsden, and Chloë Grace Moretz, but come on. Watch this masterpiece in its original language. Thanks to Fathom Events and the Ghibli Fest, the film will have two screenings, so don’t miss it: December 16 (English dub) and December 18 (English subtitles). Check showtimes and theaters, and buy tickets here. And here’s the fun part. As we’ve done for all nine entries in this year’s Studio Ghibli Fest, we have a pair of tickets for one lucky Roarbots reader! The tickets will be good for one AMC or Regal theater of your choice (that’s showing the film, obviously), so check here for convenient theaters. This giveaway is now over. Thanks for entering!
