ShareTweet 0 This week, we feature a chat Jamie had with Laura Bailey and Travis Willingham at this summer’s Otakon in Baltimore, MD. Laura and Travis are prolific voice actors who have performed literally hundreds of roles in countless video games and both Japanese and Western animation. They are perhaps most widely known as the voices of Lust and Roy Mustang on Fullmetal Alchemist, but if you’ve ever played a video game or watched anime, then chances are pretty good you’ve heard them. Pertinent to our show, though, Laura is the voice of Black Widow and Travis is the voice of Thor in the Disney Infinity series of games and on various Marvel animated shows, including Avengers Assemble, Ultimate Spider-Man, Hulk and the Agents of SMASH, and LEGO Marvel Super Heroes. After meeting them in person, I can say that this is a bit of perfect casting…beyond the voices. With the right costumes, each could easily pull off a live-action run at those two characters. Avid gamers, they both appear on the Geek & Sundry show Critical Role, where they essentially play Dungeons & Dragons for four hours at a pop with some fellow voice actors. And Laura is also part of the cast of Titansgrave, another Geek & Sundry RPG show with Wil Wheaton. Oh, and they also happen to be married. To each other. I know what you’re thinking. Black Widow and Thor? Whaaa?
