Hasbro PulseCon is only a couple of days away, and they’ve sent a gigantic box out to get people hyped for the event! If you’ve seen the thread on Twitter, you’ll know there’s all kind of awesomeness in this box! Read on for my take on things and links to buy it all!

PulseCon Exclusive box

Ark for scale (also, couch for scale)

Star Wars Exclusives

Star Wars Exclusives

Manage to snag these and you will become nerdier than you can possibly imagine.

The good news, these look fantastic. The bad news? These and any store exclusives will not be part of the Hasbro Premium Plus preorder window, meaning even if you’ve paid for early access to exclusives, you’ll have to frantically pound that refresh button like everyone else.

POTF Cantina Showdown

Cantina Scene

Sadly, Ponda Babba’s arm doesn’t come off

You’ll be dead… if you miss your chance to pick up this PulseCon-exclusive set of Dr. Evazan, Ponda Baba, and Obi-Wan Kenobi, with a cantina bar accessory. These 6-inch figures are incredible, looking like they just stepped out of the movie.

Vintage Collection Emperor’s Throne Room

Emperor's Throne Room

I keep my lightning hands in a special drawer!

If you’re looking for Star Wars dioramas on a smaller scale, then this Emperor’s Throne Room box set is a good place to start. The 3.75-inch Emperor figure comes with Force lightning hands and his iconic throne. The packaging itself folds out into an impressive display with plenty of room for Jedi Luke and Darth Vader figures (not included, of course).

Black Series Trapper Wolf

Trapper Wolf

For all your Dave Filoni needs

One of the best scenes in the first season of The Mandalorian was when the Rebel X-Wing squadron swooped in, only to be revealed as the directors of the episodes we’d been watching so far. Dave Filoni’s alter ego, Trapper Wolf, is captured here in his full glory.

Transformers Exclusives

There is one con exclusive that hasn’t been revealed (officially) yet: a “Unicron formatted” Galvatron (right after he’s converted Megatron when he still has the blueprint deco) that comes with a bunch of additional accessories, such as micro figs (that will work with the recently released Ark) and a Junkion ship (to jam in Unicron’s eye). That’ll be revealed during the Transformers panel on Friday.

Covert Agent Ravage

Ravage

Decepticons Forever!

This one’s been well known for a while, but it’s still fantastic how the Hasbro design team was able to really recapture the CGI model from the original Beast Wars show. Covert Agent Ravage was always a bit of a goofy design, and, honestly, the head is a bit big here… but necessary since it doubles as the alt-mode head. Then again, I can’t imagine many Beast Wars fans will be displaying this in panther mode.

This is a minor quibble though. Chances are you still have fond memories of the moment when Beast Wars finally crossed over with the original G1 cartoon, and this scratches that itch. The diorama packaging is perfect as well, with a slot in the cardboard insert where you can store your G1 Ravage in cassette mode.

G.I. Joe Exclusives

There’s only one G.I. Joe exclusive this year, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t phenomenal. The team pulled out the stops last year with the Throne Room Cobra Commander, and they did the same for 2021, bringing back a fun play element to a classic character.

Master of Disguise Zartan

Zartan

With the retail figure (on the right)

Zartan is a must-have exclusive for any Joe fan, even if you have the current figure (which is fantastic, by the way). Why? Is it because it includes multiple masks? Although that is cool, that part actually bugs me because there’s no good way to store the extra masks. Nope. It’s because of this:

That’s right, unlike the mass retail figure, the PulseCon exclusive actually changes color! This time it’s heat-activated, rather than UV-triggered, which is probably better overall for the figure’s longevity. Popping your exclusive Zartan figure in the freezer is a better option than leaving it out in the sun.

This means that Zartan is a little dusky most of the time in an air-conditioned room, as you can see with the original figure, but it’s worth it when you can get a transformation like this!

Zartan Blue

Changes color right before your eyes (or after you stick him in the freezer)

Marvel Exclusives

Marvel PulseCon Exclusives

Thanos/Iron Man Mark LXXXV 2-pack

Iron Man and Thanos 2-Pack

Nearly dead versions of both characters for your burgeoning “almost dead” collection!

These two are some of the most detailed and heavily accessorized figures I’ve seen from Avengers: Endgame. With this many weapons, alternate heads, hands, and effect blasts, you can customize exactly the Thanos or Iron Man figure you want in your display.

Thor

End Game Thor

I dare you to say something about my armor size

Previously, the only way to get the more robust Thor from Avengers: Endgame was as a build-a-figure. And even then, he only came in his “rock bottom” lounging outfit. Now, you’ll be able to have Thor in his armored, battle-ready outfit from the end of the movie. Plus, you can have him dual-wield powered-up hammers!

Everything Else

These Fortnite toys, from the upcoming Victory Royale series, look incredible. Meowscles comes with tons of accessories, and Sky and Ollie look like they were ripped from the screen.

Fortnite Front

Some images of characters I know nothing about!

There’s also Power Rangers Finster, a new small blaster in the Nerf Halo line, and a Peter Venkman Ghostbusters figure.

PulseCon Exclusives

Hi, we’re not exclusives!

You’ll be able to try your hand at picking up these figures starting this Friday at 5 pm EST, earlier if you’re a Hasbro Pulse Premium member (though not for the Star Wars toys, unfortunately).

PulseCon starts this Friday and continues through Saturday. There’ll be big reveals for all the brands above, plus additional properties, so make sure you check it out!
