The Best of Jiminy Crickets - Walt Disney's 'Summer Magic'

Jiminy Crickets proudly presents a fan favorite from July 2018. This episode, Chris and Ruthie pay tribute to one of their all-time favorite films: Walt Disney’s classic live-action musical Summer Magic, which was celebrating its 55th anniversary that month. Together, they share the behind-the-scenes history of the movie, discuss the cast (including the adorable Hayley Mills and the legendary Burl Ives), walk you through the plot and their favorite scenes, and share all the amazing Sherman Brothers songs.

So it’s time to do some “flitterin” back to “Beautiful Beulah” for a nostalgic retrospective on a movie that truly is “The Pink of Perfection.” Join us on “The Front Porch” for a little slice of Americana and a big dose of “Summer Magic.”

Chris Lyndon grew up in Southern California, near Disneyland. He formed a lifelong fascination with all things Disney from a very early age, especially Disney music, and has studied the history of the Walt Disney organization for decades.
