If you’ve ever wondered to yourself, “How much longer must we wait for a movie to follow in the footsteps of 1972’s cult classic film Death Bed: The Bed that Eats?” wonder no longer. Sit down and put your feet up, because the trailer for Killer Sofa is here! As SNL character Stefon might say, this trailer has everything: blood, gore, blenders, and an ANTHROPOMORPHIC CHAIR THAT EATS PEOPLE!!! Clearly, the outlandish movie Velocipastor has forced indie filmmakers to up their game. Take a peek at the just-released trailer below: I’m not sure why you would even need to read a synopsis of Killer Sofa after watching that trailer, but here you go: Francesca always attracted weirdos. When one of her stalkers is found dead, she looks for comfort from her best friend, Maxi. Meanwhile, Maxi’s grandfather, Jack, a disgraced Rabbi, comes across a reclining chair containing a Dybbuk inside. Jack and his voodoo sorceress partner try to find out where the recliner has been delivered while exploring Jack’s newfound gift for communicating with the other world. Meanwhile the reclining chair becomes enchanted by Francesca and starts committing crimes of passion. The only questions I have that neither the trailer nor the description addresses are: 1) Why is it called Killer Sofa, when it is obviously an armchair? And 2) How much longer will we have to wait for the inevitable sequel Killer Sofa 2: The Ottoman Empire? These questions will keep me up at night. The exact release date is unclear, but Killer Sofa will be available this October on DVD and on-demand from High Octane Pictures. For now, however, I’ll just have to survive by watching a recliner stare menacingly from a second story window in the trailer over and over. Sit tight! You Might Also Like...
