Have you ever read one of R.A. Salvatore’s many novels? Read a few? Do you enjoy fantasy? Dungeons and Dragons? Do you have burning questions about or an insatiable desire to find out what goes on inside the mind of a man who spent the last 30 years creating entire worlds into existence?

We sure did.

In full disclosure, I’ve been reading Salvatore’s books for nearly 30 years. Most recently, I read and reviewed Relentless, the concluding chapter of the Generations Trilogy. (Spoiler alert: It was fantastic.)

And I was going to stop with a traditional review and get back to my calm and sedate (LOL) life. Instead, I listened to the screaming kid in me and did the unthinkable. I asked for an interview.

So, without further ado, and for your listening and viewing pleasure, here is our nearly 2-hour conversation, which addresses questions and comments from myself (duh) along with some from the amazing readers over on Reddit at /r/ForgottenRealms and /r/Drizzt.

**Update: Here is the Transcript of the interview!

We cover a WIDE range of topics – from the Forgotten Realms novels to growing up an outcast to the perfect temperature to write in.

Enjoy!

    1. I feel like he didn’t really answer the Zak soul question lol. As a fan of the FR gods, it makes me sad that Bob doesn’t like them, including Eilistraee. I feel he could do a lot with her and her followers (it’s not like she forces the drow to choose her. Not all the gods are like Lolth).

But this was still an interesting interview.
