Eye of the Beholder: The Art Behind Dungeons and Dragons Documentary film poster

The world of Dungeons & Dragons is immersive and imaginative. So much of what a player experiences is through the epic storytelling and world-building of skilled dungeon masters, but where would the iconic roleplaying franchise be without the work of the talented artists sharing their own visions through fantasy illustrations? The upcoming documentary film Eye of the Beholder: The Art Behind Dungeons & Dragons shines a spotlight on the instantly recognizable work of such legendary artists as Larry Elmore and the multitude of others who help bring the game to life.

The new movie will debut May 14th on iTunes, Vimeo, Amazon, and other streaming services. Produced by The Nacelle Company, Eye of the Beholder will feature more than 40 interviews for a deep-dive into the heroes, monsters, quests, and more that help make up the mythos of D&D. It may be a few months until you can watch the entire documentary, but take a peek at the trailer below:
