Pandora at Disney's Animal Kingdom

As we continue our tour of Orlando theme parks (listen about our trips to Disney’s Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Epcot), we’d be remiss not to visit Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Initially viewed as a combination zoo and theme park, it languished in people’s minds for years. Then Pandora came. Then the crowds came (at least Jake Sully never came). The question is… is this park now worth the visit?

Warning: answering that question can lead to unattended consequences. By taking my kids to Disney’s Animal Kingdom (and thus, Pandora), I had to also then show them Avatar. I’ll take the good with the bad I guess.

As for the rest of the park… take a listen to the show. There are some great rides (Expedition Everest) and unique ways to torture your kids (for some reason the It’s Tough To Be a Bug! attraction has always bothered my kids in strange ways). All in all, it’s a worthy addition to your Disney stay.

In the weeks that follow, I’ll continue to post new and old episodes from our show. Let us know if there are experiences you’d like us to take on for you. If you leave us a comment on iTunes with your name, we’ll give you a special shout out on a future show. You also can connect with the show on Facebook and Twitter.
