Do a podcast with kids and one thing is certain: there’s no reason to plan anything. They just say whatever pops into their heads. It doesn’t matter the context or situation. That’s why we usually stick to topics like eating strange food.

Thus, when we recently did our first live interview… I was a little scared. What would the say? Would Anthony ask about the origin of the term bonkerballs? (Oddly, no.) Would Zachary challenge our interviewee to a bug eating contest? (Not oddly, yes.) Take a listen!

Our guest is Mindy Thomas – host of the podcast Wow In the World on NPR. Mindy is taking Wow In the World on tour with the Wow In The World Pop Up Party and is coming to Tampa on April 6 (and recently announced dates for Nashville, Boston, Chicago, and Denver). You can buy tickets here.

Listen in as we discuss science, podcasts, kids programming, and bug eating (cuz that’s what every 6-year-old really wants to discuss).

Let us know if there are experiences you’d like us to take on for you. If you leave us a comment on iTunes with your name, we’ll give you a special shout out on a future show. You also can connect with the show on Facebook and Twitter.
