December 2019 was an interesting time for Star Wars fans. Lucasfilm pumped out two very different feeling chapters to the overall universe: The Mandalorian and The Rise of Skywalker. What eventually hit me was not only how I viewed each but also how different members of my family experienced them as well. What do I mean? But it was very interesting to see different takes. Especially on a generational scale (i.e., how the kids enjoyed each) or even from a point of general fandom (my wife) vs. a more… intense fandom (me).
