Obviously something to hate.

I think all parents have had a conversation like this. You’re minding your own business, having a bowl of cereal, when out of nowhere, your child looks at you and says one of the strangest things you’ll ever hear. A personality quirk that makes no sense. In my case, my son said, “I hate spoons.”

Wha-What? How can someone HATE spoons? Not “I don’t like the metallic taste.” Not “I don’t like using soup spoons for anything but soup.” But “I hate spoons. All spoons. All the time.”

As a parent… what do I do with this? I mean… I’m a parent who ate crickets with my kids to celebrate a Twitter milestone, and I took them on a strange food safari around Epcot. What do I do with a statement like “I hate spoons”?

Obviously, I make a podcast to commemorate this occasion. What do I mean? Listen here!
