Chevy-LEGO-Silverado
*humming* "Like a brick..."

The great thing about your movie being based on a toy that can build anything is that, well, anything can be part of the hype! Take for example the first-ever, full-size, LEGO brick-built Chevy Silverado that debuted this morning at the North American International Auto show.

Built by 18 LEGO Master Builders, the 3,307 lb., 20 ft.-long model is made up of 334,544 pieces (most of which were, not surprisingly, red 2×8 stud bricks). With working lights and custom designed graphic details, it took the Master Builders over 2,000 hours to assemble.

The model is an exact life-size replica of the all-new 2019 Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss and is the first full-size Chevy vehicle built entirely of LEGO bricks.

But what about that movie connection? The Silverado will actually be in The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part when it debuts next month. This isn’t the first Chevy/LEGO collaboration, however. Chevy, Warner Brothers, and LEGO all teamed up to bring the LEGO Batmobile from The LEGO Batman Movie to life at last year’s Auto Show.

And keep your eyes on the site next week as I review the 2019 Chevrolet Bolt EV. (Hey, how about a LEGO version of this, Chevy? It wouldn’t take nearly as many bricks!)
