Happy Father’s Day!

This week, Jamie and Justin are joined by the uber-talented Jeffrey Brown. You may know Jeffrey from his too-adorable-for-words Darth Vader books (Darth Vader and Son, Vader’s Little Princess, Goodnight Darth Vader, and the recently released Darth Vader and Friends) or his Jedi Academy books.

What you may not know is that he has a vast bibliography, ranging from The Incredible Change-Bots to deeply personal, autobiographical graphic novels. He even directed an animated music video for Death Cab For Cutie’s “Your Heart is an Empty Room!”

Jeffrey joins us this week to chat about his various Star Wars books, his history-making comics, an exhibit showcasing his art currently on display at the Cartoon Art Museum in San Francisco, and what’s in store for the future.

Sadly, we also receive news that Darth Vader and Friends (the fourth in the series from Chronicle Books) and Jedi Academy: The Phantom Bully (the third in the series from Scholastic) are the final installments of each series.
