New Bumblebee and Megatron Furai Model Kits Will Make Your Hasbro Figures Jealous

0

Bluefin is expanding the super-popular Transformers Furai model kit line by Flame Toys with new Bumblebee and Megatron kits based on their IDW comic designs!

So far in this officially licensed line, we’ve gotten really impressive Optimus Prime and Starscream kits (and a Nemesis Prime variant). However, these new, non-transforming kits take it to the next level.

Bumblebee

Let’s see your Hasbro fig do this!

Standing at 5.1 inches, appropriately an inch shorter than the Optimus and Starscream kits, Bumblebee is hyper-poseable, with over 50 points of articulation.

Ban-hammer? I’ve got a bee-hammer! I’ll see myself out.

He’s well-accessorized too, with a blaster, battle hammer, and heli-pack. The heli-pack and hammer are a nice throwback to his non-transforming G1 1990 Action Master figure, which came with a heli-pack that transformed into a battle hammer (well, “air-powered rifle” but it always looked like a hammer to me)!

Poseable and fully accessorized!

I remember being so excited to put together model kits when I was a kid, only to find that if I wanted the kit I saw on the lid of the box, I had to get out paints… and I was awful at painting! Those fears are gone with the Flame Toys Furai Transformers kits. Bumblebee is molded in multiple colors and snaps together without glue, giving you a fully detailed, just-like-the-box figure when you’re done.

Available next week for around $50, Bumblebee is available for preorder on Amazon now.

Megatron

Kinder, gentler Megs coming up.

Coming in July is Optimus’s good buddy, Megatron. This version sports an Autobot symbol, so this is from later in the IDW series after Megs had a change of heart and switched sides. He’s just over 6 inches tall (so he’ll be slightly taller than Optimus) and has his iconic fusion cannon.

Hugs to all Decepticons!

He’s not quite as spry as ‘Bee, but even with 40 points of articulation, you’re going to be able to pose this kit in positions that will make your Siege figures weep with jealousy.

Hyper-detailed!

Like Bumblebee, Megatron is molded in multiple colors and snaps together. Add a few included decals and the finished kit ends up looking just like the product shots! He’s not on Amazon yet, but you can preorder the kit on BigBadToyStore for $50.

As soon as Bluefin sends over a Bumblebee kit, I’ll be back with a full review! I haven’t touched a model kit in years, so I’m excited and nervous at the same time. Follow me on Instagram for in-progress shots!
