As we previously announced, Fathom Events and GKIDS have arrived to save 2019 with Studio Ghibli Fest. From April through December, Studio Ghibli Fest 2019 will present nine of the studio’s best and most beloved films on the big screen – where they absolutely deserve to be seen.

First up is Howl’s Moving Castle, which is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year. The film will be playing on April 7 and 10 (English dub) and on April 8 (English subtitles). Check showtimes and buy tickets here.

Personally, I’m a fan of the original Japanese, but I recognize not everyone enjoys subtitles – or they have kids who won’t tolerate them. Both versions are great, though, so it’s hard to make a bad choice between the two. The English dub for Howl features Lauren Bacall, Christian Bale, Billy Crystal, Blythe Danner, Emily Mortimer, and Jean Simmons.
