Hot on the heels of one of their most successful Kickstarters ever, Wyrmwood is back with the Corrupted Collection – a limited time campaign full of horror-inspired hardwood vaults in cherry, poisonwood, and wenge with a  variety of designs.

The Master Vault is one of my favorite Wyrmwood creations. With room for a mini or two and three rows of dice (sadly, the hand-turned mechanical pencil didn’t resurface with this campaign), it’s proven to be a fan favorite as well. Paired with its own custom-fit rolling tray, you have all the gear you need for game night in one ready-to-go package.

A limited number of these were made this year for Halloween, and they disappeared quicker than you can say, “Headless Horseman.” The coffin vaults are a fun horror spin on the traditional dice vault. They’re functional too! All that extra space gives you plenty of room for additional dice. How many?

I was able to fit an entire Dice of Rolling collection! It took a little bit of clever placement, but all 29 dice fit! Now I just need to roll up a necromancer to take advantage of the thematic synergy.

Each coffin vault sports the “corrupted” Wyrmwood logo.

Just like with their recent dice vault campaign, Wyrmwood employed the talents of Crystal Sully to again create a trio of creature designs to haunt select master vaults. You can choose from the Headless Horseman, the Werewolf, or the dragon Katalox, the Corrupted in her humanoid form.

All three can be engraved on cherry, etched into black poisonwood, or, my favorite, inlaid in turquoise on wenge. All three designs are amazing and the turquoise inlay is an instant attention-grabber.

Additional designs, including a cursed naga, a full profile view of Katalox in dragon form, and a Hellwolf will be unlocked as the campaign progresses.

How to Back

There’s really no risk with a Wyrmwood Kickstarter. You pick when you want your item to arrive, use the pledge manager to figure out how much you’ll need to pledge, then enter that in the campaign tier that you want.

That said, you’ll definitely want to make sure you check out the pledge calculator page before you back the campaign. Wyrmwood’s gaming products are high-end, hand-finished, artfully created gear, and that’s reflected in their price. When you’re talking about limited edition items with special designs, it can get very expensive very fast. Know what you’re getting into before you fall in love with an item that you can’t back!

Head over to Wyrmwood Gaming’s Corrupted Vault Kickstarter page right now. There’s only a week left! While the rewards won’t be delivered until next fall, you’ll want to make sure you have them in hand for next Halloween’s RPG night!
