We are a Disney family. We know this. Living in Central Florida, it’s hard not to be. They aren’t the only game in town, however. It is time for us to check out the other side of the theme park war. This week, we travel a bit farther down I-4 and take the kids to their first trip to Universal Studios Florida.

When comparing the two resorts, the usual focus is on the kid-friendly aspect of Disney versus the higher adrenaline of Universal. How did the kids like a park not as focused on kids? Especially the youngest who found a lot of rides he couldn’t ride due to height restrictions. Did that impact our enjoyment?

Plus, we have other fun stories from the park, such as how my wife and I set this up as a great surprise for the kids, how we scammed our way to the front of the line for the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit roller coaster, and my “Happy Place” that’s located inside this park (and my kids ridicule me for it). All this and more can be heard now!

Plus, you can go back to listen to our Disney episodes here: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Strange Snacks at Epcot, and the Animal Kingdom.

In the weeks that follow, I’ll continue to post new and old episodes from our show. Let us know if there are experiences you’d like us to take on for you. If you leave us a comment on iTunes with your name, we’ll give you a special shout out on a future show. You also can connect with the show on Facebook and Twitter.
